Dual TB Reading for Foreign Workers Entering Korea 국내 입국 외국인 근로자 결핵 이중판독

  • TB dual reading conducted for foreign workers from countries covered under the Employment Permit System (EPS)
  • For foreign nationals entering from countries designated by the Ministry of Justice as high TB-risk, chest X-ray images taken at local medical institutions prior to entry are remotely reviewed in Korea; entry is recommended only when all readings return negative
  • Prevents the domestic spread of TB by screening out suspected cases at the border, enhancing health and safety in the workplace, and reducing economic losses for workers who would otherwise be repatriated after being identified as TB-suspected upon arrival
  • 고용허가제(Employment Permit System, EPS) 대상 국가의 외국인 근로자 결핵 이중판독 진행
  • 법무부 지정 결핵 고위험국에서 입국하는 외국인 대상으로 입국 전 현지 의료기관에서 촬영한 흉부 X선 영상을 국내에서도 원격판독 후, 판독 결과가 모두 음성일 경우에 입국 권고

Follow-up Management of TB-Suspected Foreign Workers Entering Korea 국내 입국 외국인 근로자 중 결핵 유소견자 사후관리

  • Support program for TB-suspected individuals among foreign workers (E-9 visa) entering from EPS-covered countries
  • Workers identified as active TB cases through the 1st and 2nd health screenings at domestic employment training centers are transferred to a national TB hospital; those who test positive receive treatment until sputum conversion (loss of infectiousness) before being supported in returning to their home country, while those who test negative are returned to their employer
  • 고용허가제 대상 국가에서 입국하는 외국인 근로자(E-9) 중 결핵 유소견자에 대한 지원사업
  • 국내 취업교육기관에서의 1∙2차 건강검진 과정을 통해 활동성 결핵으로 최종 확진된 경우, 국립결핵병원으로 이송하여 양성 시 균음전(전염성 소실) 치료 후 본국으로 귀국 지원, 음성 시 사업주에게 재인도
