제9회 아시아 결핵퇴치 협력포럼 발표자 모집 Call for Abstracts — The 9th International Scientific Conference on "Seeking Ways to Eliminate TB in Asia"

The National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD), Ministry of Health, Mongolia, and the Korean National Tuberculosis Association (KNTA) are pleased to announce the 9th International Scientific Conference on "Seeking Ways to Eliminate TB in Asia," to be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

This conference aims to exchange information on local TB situations and control practices among participating countries, share best practices and innovations, and explore collaborative R&D and TB elimination projects across Asia.

We invite NTP directors and researchers, physicians, managers, parliamentarians, government officials, and representatives from health-related organizations, NGOs, and civil society to participate and present at this conference.

• Keynote Address: Overview of the Global TB Caucus (GTBC) Asia Regional Activities in 2026 and Future Plans — Focusing on the Impact of Parliamentary Leadership on TB Elimination
• Session 1: National Tuberculosis Elimination Strategies and Progress in Major TB High-Burden Countries in Asia — Focusing on National Tuberculosis Programmes (NTPs)
• Session 2: Innovative Technologies for Tuberculosis Control in Leading Asian Countries — Real-World Implementation of New Technologies in TB Vaccines, Diagnostics, and Treatment
• Session 3: Patient Support and Social Protection Programmes for Tuberculosis in Asia — Community-Based Support Models Applying the WHO People-Centered TB Care Principles
• Session 4: Climate Change and Its Impact on Tuberculosis and Infectious Diseases in Asia — Evidence and Response Strategies, Including Reduced Crop Production and Malnutrition, Air Pollution and Respiratory Diseases, and Limited Access to Health Services Leading to Worsening TB and Infectious Disease Outcomes
• Session 5: TB–Noncommunicable Disease (NCD) Linkages and Post-TB Management — An Integrated Response Strategy, Focusing on Links between TB and Major NCDs such as Diabetes, Smoking, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), as well as Post-TB Lung Disease, Functional Impairment, and Quality-of-Life Issues Following TB Treatment
• Special Session: Introduction of the Korea-Led TB Eradication Funding Programme for TB High-Burden Countries in Asia and Call for Partner Countries — Rationale and Overview of Programme Development, Progress and Future Plans for Feasibility Studies, and Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Participation in Pilot Projects
• Closing Session: Presentation of the Asian Young Investigator of TB Research Award and Award Ceremony of 2026 Winners

[Field Trip (Optional)] September 17

• Site visits to local project sites managed by NCCD, KDCA, KNTA, and KOICA
• Experience of traditional Mongolian Ger and cuisine

Those who wish to present at the conference are kindly requested to submit their abstract together with an expression of interest and their personal information (affiliation, position/title, contact information, etc.) using the form below.

All accepted and presented abstracts will be included in the Abstract Book, a supplement to the Mongolian Journal of Infectious Disease Research (MJIDR). The Abstract Book will be made available for download at https://www.nccd.gov.mn/ or https://stoptbk.org/forum/eng/.
